Pitcairn Island
Adamstown and Bounty relics
Adamstown is the only settlement on Pitcairn. The Bible from the Bounty is in the Church at Adamstown, and the anchor rests outside the courthouse. Scuba divers at the site were the Bounty was reportedly scuttled in Bounty Bay may glimpse remains of the infamous ship.

Exploring the island
Pitcairn Island contains numerous roads and trails through a luxurious tropical forest and is very pleasant for hiking. One may visit a cave—known as Christian’s Cave—said to be where Fletcher Christian often meditated and looked mournfully out to sea, perhaps regretting his part in the mutiny and fearful of discovery by British ships. John Adam’s grave is well-marked. Many of the place names on Pitcairn commemorate historical events, such as "Where-Dan-Fall" and "John-Catch-A-Cow".
